Makar Sankranti (Tila Sankrant) in bihar
Makar Sankranti is well know as Tila Sankrant, Tilwa Chura, khichdi, maghi in Bihar. And it is one of the most auspicious (शुभ) occasions for the Hindus.It celebrated in almost all parts of India and Nepal .Makara Sankranti always comes on the same day every year 14 January, with some exceptions, when the festival is celebrated on 13 January or 15 January.
There are many variant of Makar Sankranti's name, that are
Generally on the occasion of Makar sankranti people take bath early in the morning and eat Dahi Chura, Tilwal, Tilkut (GAYA KA MASHHUR TILKUT), Sathaura, Lai. Some of them take bath in river Ganga and some of in Rajgir's Hot springs of holy water.
